1970 Brockway Springs
34 acres on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe at Kings Beach, California. This historic property was known for its grand lakefront hotel and hot springs. From 1865 to 1965, this beautiful resort hosted presidents and celebrities from around the world. We acquired the property and developed a phased condominium community consisting of 78 townhouses and an eight-story mid-rise condominium along the shoreline. An exclusive swim and tennis club was constructed for the use and enjoyment of the condominium owners and their guests. The Club features a 200-foot pier and natural springs hot water piped to the outdoor pool. Two lakeside tennis courts give the tennis player a most exquisite view of the Lake. Phase II of the proposed development was approved by the County of Placer for 125 additional lakefront townhouses; however, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency ("TRPA") and the League to Save Lake Tahoe challenged our entitlements and a settlement was reached authorizing an additional 18 single-family lakefront homes in place of the higher density 125 townhomes previously approved.
