The City of Belmont, through their Redevelopment Agency, authorized a Disposition and Development Agreement with Belmont Village Associates to develop a City-owned site at the corner of El Camino Real and Ralston Avenue into a specialty retail center. It is designed to act as the cornerstone of a greater redevelopment effort for their downtown. Belmont Village Associates, LLC was formed creating a single-purpose entity in which to develop the asset.
The center consists of 15,161 square feet of ground floor retail. The tenant mix is as follows:
- Max’s Restaurant
- Starbucks Coffee
- Cingular Wireless
- Belmont Optique
- A.G. Ferrari Foods
- Learning Express
This unique property received two years of public hearings and was unanimously approved by both the Planning Commission and City Council. The center was completed in March of 2000 and continues to perform well.
